“We are delighted with the decision in court today and are pleased that justice has been done.”

Stephanie Davis has spoken out following her ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell’s guilty verdict yesterday.

The reality star, from Dublin, was found guilty of assaulting Stephanie yesterday.

There were tense scenes in the court house, as the pair screamed at one another and proceedings were temporarily halted when Stephanie broke down in tears.

She told the court he had “thrown her around like a rag doll” during an attack that happened while she was holding the couple’s eight-week-old son.

In a statement released after the verdict was read out yesterday, Stephanie said she was “delighted with the decision” and “pleased that justice has been done.”

“We await the decision on Friday and the appropriate sentencing.”

She also thanked her friends, family and team for helping her to rebuild her life and said she’d now work to prevent other women being abused.

“Stephanie now wishes to work with domestic violence and abuse charities to raise awareness and stop what has happened to her happening to other women in the UK.”

Jeremy is due to be sentenced this Friday.
