Status Yellow, Met Éireann Issue Another Weather Warning For Today

Thankfully, this one isn't as bad as the other weather warnings over the last few weeks...

With the weather we have been experiencing here over the last few weeks, we thought we might be in the clear for the rest of the month. However, today, Met Éireann have issued another weather warning for the country.

The warning is a status yellow Wind Warning for Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Waterford. Met Éireann are warning of South to Southeast winds which will reach mean speeds of 45 to 65 km per hour, gusts to 80 or 90 km per hour this afternoon and evening in exposed regions.

They is also a warning of winds which will begin tonight and carry into tomorrow, veering Westerly will reach mean speeds 50 to 65 km per hour, gusts 90 to 100 km per hour, highest values in exposed coastal regions.

The weather warning was issued this morning and will be in effect from 12pm today until 7pm tonight.

There is also an Orange Gale warning in effect with strong gales developing on all Irish Coastal waters and on the Irish Sea.
