A renewed search has commenced.
Gardaí believe that safety gear, which washed up on a beach in Mayo, could be from the missing crew members of the Coast Guard Helicopter R116 which crashed in March.
While the bodies of Captain Dara Fitzpatrick and Captain Mark Duffy were located in the days following the crash, rescue teams were unable to retrieve the bodies of the other crew members, Ciarán Smith and Paul Ormsby.
According to RTÉ, a helmet and life jacket, which were attached together, washed ashore at An Clochar beach yesterday morning. An Clochar is located near Blacksod on the Mayo coastline.
Gardaí believe the gear could be from one of the missing men. As a result, a renewed search has commenced in the area but weather conditions are making it difficult.
