Rapper P. Diddy was reportedly arrested on Monday following an alleged assault with a kettlebell at the athletic grounds of UCLA.
According to reports, Diddy was released on Monday night after he allegedly posted the $160,000 bail.
BBC News have reported that he has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, has a son named Justin who reportedly plays on the American football team.
Campus police stated that no one had been seriously injured in the incident.
In a statement, football coach Jim Mora said: “This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved.
“While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time.”
