Well… that’s just great.
In what is becoming an increasingly common trend over the past couple of weeks, Met Éireann has issued another weather warning.
Yes, we feel the same way as you at this stage…
Late on Thursday, Met Éireann issued two separate weather warnings which run until 6pm today.
The first is a status yellow warning for all of Ireland as Met Éireann warn of cold and very unsettled weather which will continue throughout the weekend.
According to Met Éireann, “There will periods of heavy rain, with some severe downpours at times, especially in southwestern, western and northwestern counties with spot flooding.”
There’s also a risk of some sleet and snow at times.
In a separate alert, a status yellow rainfall warning was also issued for Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare and Kerry.
There will be some very heavy downpours in these areas throughout Friday with a possibility as much as 40mm will fall in places.
