It’s going to be a windy one.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow wind warning for Ireland. The weather forecaster has said that it will be blustery with heavy showers throughout the day.
“Strong and gusty southwest winds will veer westerly early this afternoon with some severe and damaging gusts; heavy squally spells of rain continuing too.”

It has also warned pedestrians, motorists and cyclists to be careful of fallen branches and debris.
“Tuesday will be a blustery day with strong winds and very gusty conditions associated with an active front moving eastwards across the country. Generally, winds will be below warning thresholds but damage to some structures and trees, already weakened from the effects of Storm Atiyah, is possible.
“Rain and showers will be heavy at times as well, especially in Atlantic coastal counties.”

The warning will be lifted at 4pm today.
Looking at tonight, it’s going to be a cold one, with temperatures dropping to freezing point and risk of frost in sheltered areas.
“Cold and blustery tonight with a mix of clear spells and showers. The showers frequent across the western half of the country with the risk of hail and thunder. Minimum temperatures of 0 to 3 degrees in strong and gusty southwest winds with a slight frost possible in sheltered spots.”
