If you are on the East Coast of Ireland, you will be aware just how heavy that rain was last night. Met Eireann yesterday issued a weather warning for the next 24 hours for heavy rain.
The warning is in effect from this morning at 6am until tomorrow morning, Sunday, August 3rd at 6am.
They are warning of heavy rain which has already amounted to between 25 and 40mm this morning. A further 40 to 60mm of rain is likely to accumulate up to 6.00am, Sunday 3rd August, and “may cause flooding problems locally.”
Met Eireann are issuing the Orange warning for Leinster, Cavan and Monaghan but there is also a yellow warning in effect for Tipperary and Waterford.

This morning, there are many reporting flooding in Dublin with many taking to twitter to document the rainfall that was promised.
