A man has been jailed for 14 years for the rape of a Spanish student.
Eoin Berkeley pleaded guilty to the rape and false imprisonment of the then 18-year-old woman in July of last year.
He had admitted three counts of rape against the student at the Irish Glass Bottle Company site on Pigeon House Road, Ringsend, over the course of 21 hours on July 15 and 16, 2017.
RTE reports that Berkeley was sentenced to 14 years in prison today at the Central Criminal Court.

The young woman had been in Ireland two weeks before the attack occurred.
This was her first time in the country. She was staying with a host family in Dublin and had come for the summer to learn English.
The national broadcaster reported last week that Berkeley had given the woman tablets and threatened to kill her.
She eventually escaped and went to a nearby house with a Spanish au pair who helped her call her father.
She said she could not trust people and could not be in a relationship since the attack.
Berkeley had been arrested and detained under the Mental Health Act in the week before the attack.
