Man charged with murder after woman found dead in Co. Armagh

A 51-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a woman in Armagh.

On Friday last, the body of Anita Downey (51) was found in a house in Toberhewney Hall, Lurgan.

PSNI detectives conducting the murder investigation have asked for the public’s help and they are particularly interested in tracing the whereabouts of a mobile phone which has been missing since Thursday 19th January.

Newstalk reports that anyone with information pertaining to the missing phone should contact the incident room in Mahon Road station, Portadown, Craigavon.

The accused is due to appear in court tomorrow.
