Make weekend plans now as the weather’s looking great

Happy days!

Laura Holland

In classic Irish weather style, we have better weather in September than we did in July.

It’s looking like it’s going to be a lovely dry weekend.

According to Met Eireann, today will see some scattered showers spreading from the west but they will die out in the afternoon with the rest of the day remaining dry with sunny spells. Temperatures will reach highs of 17 degrees.

Then tomorrow will be dry with sunny spells and light breezes. Highest temperatures expected of 17 to 20 degrees.

On Sunday the dry weather will continue in the morning but rain will spread from the west across the country for a time before becoming dry again in the afternoon, with a fresh dry evening expected. Highest temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees.

The outlook for next week is looking okay for now with Monday starting off dry with highs of 17 degrees and Tuesday being mainly dry with rain spreading from west to east again during the day.

Met Eireann have said, “At the moment it looks like the weather will be unsettled for the rest of next week with rain or showers at times.”
