Not long to go now.
As summer approaches, there are many big events to look forward to – festival season, All-Ireland Sunday and Eurovision.
Yes, it’s that time of year when countries across Europe (and outside of it) come together to celebrate the power of song and it’s always a spectacular show.
Looking at the crowd there on the night, it’s typical to see many waving their country’s flag proudly for the cameras, however, there are quite a few things audience members aren’t allowed bring to the event.

Eurovision has just posted a reminder to those attending this year’s competition in Lisbon that they should leave certain items at home and it has many on Twitter very confused.
Did you know that as well as the usual prohibited items, this year power banks, cups, selfie sticks, adhesive tape, cameras and religious or political material are all banned?

I’m sorry but I can’t stop laughing…who complied this list? No trolleys. Damn I’ll have to schedule my Tesco shop another time.

It is weirdly specific, as if they added certain items after ‘The Trolley Incident’ or ‘That Time With The Ladder’

If that’s the case I’m interested in the backstory behind “no handcuffs and chains”

All of those I just about get from the point of view of one set of security regulations or another, except… golf balls? ?

Imagine buying a eurovision mug there and then the person who just sold it to you confiscated it that same second wtf

I wanna know who (apart from Melovin) would rock up to a live show with a fucking ladder

So there you have it – leave your helmets, trolleys and golf balls at home because you won’t be getting those into the event.
