Spanish police are investigating reports that an Irish teenager was raped while on holiday in Tenerife, Spain.
According to Spanish website, El Dias, the incident happened at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife.
It is thought that the girl became separated from a family member when walking in the early hours of last Thursday morning.
She reported the attack afterwards by visiting a local police station and was taken to hospital for an examination.
Her attacker has been described as “a caucasian male”.
