An investigation has been launched after human remains were found in the Wicklow Mountains.
According to The Irish Times, a member of the public alerted the Gardaí after they came across human remains on Military Rd in Enniskerry.
They contacted the Gardaí at approximately 7:45pm yesterday and shortly afterward the scene was cordoned off.
The remains have yet to be identified.
The Gardaí are asking anyone with information or who was near the area at the time to come forward by calling Bray Garda station on 01-666 5300, the Garda confidential line on 1800 -666- 111 or any Garda station.
