The body of a homeless man in his 50s has been found in Temple Bar.
The grim discovery was made on Cow’s Lane shortly after 9am, with initial reports suggesting that foul play was not involved in the man’s death.
According to the Irish Times, gardaí have said that the man was originally from Poland and had been living on the streets for some time.
It’s understood that the man was taken by ambulance to St James Hospital for medical treatment last night, with gardaí saying they believe he discharged himself and returned to sleeping rough in the city centre.
His body was found on Cow’s Lane hours later.
The man’s death comes just a month after homeless man Jonathan Corrie was found dead on Kildare Street.
