Get ready for another cold weekend

Her

It’s getting warmer, but you’ll still need to wrap up.

Conditions in Ireland are set to become milder over the coming days following repeated spells of freezing cold weather in recent weeks.

After another cold and dry day on Friday, temperatures will once again drop to below freezing and as low as -2 on Friday night, but that should be about as cold as it gets for the foreseeable future.

Met Éireann say that Saturday night won’t be as cold as it’s been for most of this week, although there will be spells of rain and drizzle throughout the day, particularly in the west of Ireland.

Sunday will be dry and sunny in most places with lowest temperatures set to hover around zero degrees at night, with far milder conditions forecast for the following days.

Temperatures could reach double figures in the afternoon by Tuesday and while there won’t be as much frost as there has been of late, there is expected to be patchy outbreaks of rain throughout the country early next week.
