Gardaí Launch Investigation After Man Dies On Board Flight From Lisbon to Dublin

Gardaí are investigating after a man died on board an Aer Lingus flight from Lisbon to Dublin on Sunday evening.

According to the Irish Times the 24-year-old became agitated about an hour into the flight. He then became unwell and fell unconscious.

The captain declared a medical emergency and diverted the plane to Cork where it landed at approximately 5.30pm this evening.

It is not known when the man died but he was pronounced dead on board the airplane.
