A 41-year-old man has pleaded guilty to twelve child pornography counts involving his 14-year-old daughter.
According to reports on Jezebel and Syracuse, the man posed as a 16-year-old boy and tricked his daughter into sending nude photos.
The man in question, whose name has not been revealed so as to protect his daughter’s identity, is believed to have set up fake accounts on Instagram, AOL and a texting service in September 2013.
Pretending to be a 16-year-old boy, the pair chatted regularly before the defendant began asking for nude photos.
Although the girl initially refused, she later sent explicit photos.
Soon after that, her father began molesting her, according to prosecutors involved in the case.
The horrific abuse only came to light when the teenager confided in a school nurse who alerted the police.
It is thought that the accused could face up to 250 years in prison when he is sentenced in July.
