An explosive device was found at a home in Finglas, North Dublin this morning during a planned Garda search.
RTÉ reports that Gardaí called in the Army Bomb Disposal Unit who arrived at the property at 10 am.
it is thought that the device was viable before bomb experts took it to a nearby military location to be deconstructed.
The scene at Deanstown, Finglas was later declared safe.
