A convicted criminal who is currently on the run has posted a message on Facebook to tell the Irish Prison Service that he “ain’t going back”.
According to the Irish Independent, 24-year-old Ricky English was serving a five year sentence for two robberies in Carlow and Wicklow when he walked out of Shelton Prison at the end of July.
It’s believed that officials from the Irish Prison Service had been in touch with the Carlow man in an effort to get him to return to the Wicklow facility but he had rejected their attempts with a social media post saying he is “feeling free”.
