It’s believed that the 18-year-old severed her artery on a broken glass bottle.
A Dublin teenager has died as a result of severe injuries from falling on a glass bottle she was carrying.
The tragic incident happened on Saturday night with the 18-year-old falling in the Sundrive Road area of Dublin 12 shortly before 1 am.
Emergency services were called and she was brought to St James Hospital but passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning.
According to The Irish Independent, she had been carrying a bottle of vodka in her waistband when she fell, suffering serious injuries and heavy bleeding.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place.
Gardaí are investigating but according to reports, they are treating the teenager’s sudden death as a tragic incident.
