Dublin Airport has said that the majority of flights are “operating normally” this morning after strong winds disrupted the schedule last night.
However, six flights did have to be cancelled due to the severe gusts overnight and passengers are advised to check with their airline for details on their particular flight before travelling to the airport today.
Last night some planes had to be diverted to other airports while others landed safely at Dublin and unfortunately the windy conditions are set to continue today.
According to Met Éireann, the gusts are due to ease this morning but will increase to strong and gale force as the day progresses.
Some heavy showers are also expected across the country and temperatures will be around 12 to 15 degrees during the day but will fall to between 1 and 5 tonight.
