Gardaí have launched an investigation after a woman was attacked outside her home.
The incident took place on the outskirts of Tamney village, halfway between Kerrykeel and Fanad, Friday night last.
Although the woman managed to get inside her home, she is understandably shaken by the incident and it’s thought details of the attack have only been provided to Gardaí recently.
According to The Sun, a description of the man has been issued with women in the locality urged to take extra care by local Garda Superintendent David Kelly.
The attacker is said to be of slim build, five feet nine inches tall and at the time of the attack, he was wearing a green hooded army jacket, blue runners, and a white jumper.
It’s not yet clear if this incident is related to the attempted child abduction in Donegal which reportedly took place on Sunday night last in the village of Kerrykeel.
Anyone with information that could help the investigation is asked to contact Milford Garda Station on 074 9153060 or the Garda Confidential Telephone Line on 1800 666 111.
