Connolly station has been evacuated due to a ‘suspect item.’
The Dublin station was evacuated after the item was discovered by a member of staff just after midday.
A security alert was issued after the item was found near the drivers area at platforms 1 and 2.
All DART and commuter services are still running but will not stop at Connolly station.

DART and Commuter which operate through Connolly to other stations are running but will not stop at Connolly.
Other trains will terminate at nearest possible stations with road transfers.

RTE reports that houses and businesses near the area have also been evacuated, as well as part of the IFSC.
The army have been called to assist with the situation.
The station will remain closed on Garda advice until further notice.
