Eleven people, most of them children, have been injured by lighting hits in Paris today.
Lightning struck the Parc Monceau, in the west of the French capital, during a storm the afternoon.
RTE news reports that 3 children and 1 adult are critically injured.
BBC states is believed that the children were celebrating a birthday party when a storm hit.
AFP news agency are now also reporting that 35 people have been injured after lightning as struck a football pitch in Germany. Three people are believed to be critically injured.
