19-year-old Lee McLaughlin was reported missing yesterday.
Lee, from Gleneely in Donegal, went missing in Paris after attending the Sweden match at the Stade de France.
Lee’s cousin Gerard Doherty had told JOE.ie that Lee was last seen at the hotel Ibis Paris Montmartre late on Tuesday (June 14) morning.
Gerard said:
“Lee’s father and nephew went for breakfast this morning. He was sleeping in the hotel room and, when they came back, he was gone”
“The hotel said he went out to buy a charger for his phone, so they thought that he might have gone to the airport, but he wasn’t there.”
It has been reported now that the teen has been found safe and well after a series of text exchanges.
According to The Independent, the French police used high-tech ‘ping’ mobile phone tracing technology to determine the whereabouts of the young man.
He has been reunited with family.
