Body of man found on Co. Galway road

Gardaí are conducting an investigation.

The body of a man was found on the side of a road in Tuam, Co. Galway yesterday.

The deceased, believed to be in his 60s, was discovered by Gardaí in the townland of Kilcloghlans, according to the Irish Mirror.

A Garda statement regarding the man’s death reads:

“The body of a man in his mid 60s was removed to University College Hospital Galway. A post mortem is to be arranged and will dictate the course of the investigation.

“Gardaí at Tuam are seeking the assistance of any person who have seen a male on this road between the Ballygaddy Road junction and the new roundabout on the N17 at Kilcloghans between 10.30pm Saturday the 11th February and 10am Sunday 12th February 2017”.
