Derbyshire Police confirmed last night that a body has been found in the search for missing actor Trevor Smith.
The 42-year-old, also known as Trevor Hancock, was reported missing on Monday night after disappearing from his home.
According to a statement on the Derbyshire Police website, authorities found a body in a quarry in the area.
They said: “Officers believe that the body found this afternoon is Trevor Smith, who was also known as Trevor Hancock.”
No formal identification has taken place as yet. The circumstances are not being treated as suspicious.
During his career, Smith appeared in Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and No Angels.
