A 23-year-old man has reportedly died after collapsing today at the SSE Airtricity half-marathon in Dublin.
According to reports, ambulance services stated that the runner suffered from a ‘cardiac event’ near the finish line at the Phoenix Park.
The man was assisted by a number of participants along with medical staff on site.
He was transferred to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, where he was later pronounced dead.
