Will this be Ireland’s Christmas Number 1 this year?
Paddy Casey, Declan O’Rourke, Mary Black and John Spillane are amongst the many well-known Irish musicians who hope so.
They, and many others, have lent their vocal talents to this cover of the Elton John classic ‘Tiny Dancer’.
The song is in aid of four-year-old Lily-Mae Morrison from Claregalway, who suffers from Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, a rare and extremely aggressive childhood cancer of the nervous system.
Lily-Mae, who wants to be a ballet dancer like her mother and father when she grows up, is battling for her life, and it is hoped the ‘Tiny Dancer’ project will help to raise awareness of the disease and funds to help with Lily-Mae’s care and with Neuroblastoma research.

Tiny Dancer: Little Lily-Mae Morrison wants to be a ballet dancer like her parents…
Over 300 volunteers came together to make the recording possible, in fact we’ve already watched the video multiple times for celeb-spotting purposes…
The song is available from iTunes from this Friday, November 23rd, and we happily pledge to buy it ahead of whatever gets churned out from the X Factor factory this time around.
