We’ve always had a soft spot for Robbie Williams. Ever since he first came into our lives as the floppy-haired, hilariously cheeky member of Take That, he’s held a special place in our hearts.
So needless to say, we were happy to hear that the singer has hinted that he’s close to finishing his next album and he might be planning on hopping in a tour bus and doing a few gigs in the future.
The Irish Independent reports that the singer, who is expecting a baby girl with his wife Ayda Field next month, took to his blog to let his fans know that he was still alive, despite the fact that he hadn’t posted in a while. Apparently there was just nothing interesting to report to them.
“Just been in the gym trying to offset the onset of middle age,” Robbie wrote.
“Fetching things for Ayda…and trying to figure out which tracks on the album should be shelved,” he added.

Robbie is due to become a father next month when his wife gives birth.
Robbie released his last studio album, Reality Killed the Video Star back in 2009 and fans have eagerly been waiting for him to follow up. In fairness, we all know that Robbie knows how to write a decent tune – remember the greatness that was Rock DJ and the ridiculously catchy Let Me Entertain You?
Anyway, Robbie also suggested that he could soon be hitting the road again and gave fans a choice of two songs, asking them which one they would prefer to hear “if and when I tour.”
Would you go and see Robbie in concert for old time’s sake?
