WATCH: ‘Mercy Cry’ – Irish Singer’s Track Supporting The Children Of Gaza Goes Viral

Her

Wicklow singer-songwriter Luan Parle has released a video for a touching track titled ‘Mercy Cry’ in support of the children of Gaza.

Over the weekend a fan reached out to the singer and asked if she would upload a video to raise awareness and highlight the horrific deaths of hundreds of innocent children.

Aughrim man, Feargal Kavanagh, explained that he was reminded of Parle’s track upon seeing images of Gaza on the news. To date, Gaza’s Public Works Ministry and Health Ministry has said that the conflict has claimed the lives of almost 1900 people, over 400 of which are children.

The single that is taken from her last album ‘Full Circle’, features over some harrowing images in the video titled, ‘Mercy Cry – For The Children Of Gaza’.

Agreeing to request, Luan asked folk on social media if someone would put the video together. Ben O’Sullivan got in touch with the songstress and the pair then teamed up with Amnesty International to release the video below.

The track opens with the poignant line, “I am a stranger in my homeland”, and closes with the powerful verse: “The innocent should not die, Lord hear my Mercy Cry, Don’t let it be too late, Open the freedom gates”.
