When she’s not telling people they can’t sing on the X Factor, Tulisa Contostavlos actually makes her own music.
Speaking about her debut solo album, the 24 year old said it’s like an iPod and that it’s all her. Which to be honest seems a bit of an obvious statement considering she produced it.
But anyway, she told MTV.co.uk: “This is who I want to be, this is how I want to be portrayed, I just wanted to be myself.”
And by the sounds of it, Tulisa is a very complicated person: “I like all kinds of different music, so I just said all the songs on the album are going to be songs I personally like and would listen to and that is how I was thinking when I went into it,” she explained.

As well as upbeat songs including her latest single ‘Live It Up’ Tulisa has delved into her softer side with some slower songs.
She insisted that this move doesn’t conflict with her tough exterior: “The Female Boss does not just represent being hard, it’s about female empowerment and a feminine trait is to have emotions and be able to express those emotions.”
So to conclude, Tulisa’s album is all her and she also has a soft side. Now we can go about our daily business…
