“The National” Music Documentary Gets its Release Date

The National documentary has gotten its release date! Mistaken for Strangers will be in US cinemas, this March.

The documentary that follows the journey of the indie-rock band on tour, was directed by lead singer Matt Berninger’s brother Tom, and opened at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival. It was also screened at the London Film Festival.

Mistaken for Strangers has been confirmed for an iTunes and theatrical release on March 28th, 2014 through Abramorama and Starz Digital Media.

“Tom has made an incredibly heartfelt, entertaining and relatable movie” said Mara Winokur, senior VP of Starz Digital Media. “We are thrilled to be part of its distribution.”

“We’re looking forward to bringing Tom’s terrific film to music and movie lovers across the country,” added Abramorama president Richard Abramowitz.

The National released their sixth album, Trouble Will Find Me, last year.
