He kept that one quiet...

Gary Barlow has announced that his first solo album in over a decade will be hitting the shelves this November.

That’s right, the Take That star is re-launching his solo career with a follow-up to his 1999 record Twelve Months, Eleven Days.

Gary is bringing out his first solo album in over a decade.

The 42-year-old tweeted last night: “After 14 long years I’m proud to announce my new solo album out on November 25th! I’m excited for u to hear it! More info to follow #gbsolo [sic]”.

Gary, who is currently busy with the latest series of The X Factor, has apparently been working away with a number of artists in the studio.

Robbie Williams is also set to release his new album in November.

A source told The Sun: “Gary has been testing the waters for a solo comeback all year with live dates. Secretly he’s been in the studio with lots of collaborators and flying to the States to work with top pop producers.”

While the name of the album is yet to be revealed, it will see Gary go up against his former band mate Robbie Williams whose album Swings Both Ways is due out the week before.
