Sex, Drugs and Rock’n’Roll: Just A Few of the Reasons These Music Videos Were Banned

It was revealed today that No Doubt took the music video for their single Looking Hot down from the internet because it was offending a lot of people but this lot didn't have to ban their own!

Rebecca McKnight

They aren’t the first band to receive some criticism about a music video and they won’t be the last. But while they willingly scrapped their own video, this lot got theirs banned for them…

Robbie Williams – Rock DJ

Some people loved it, some people were appalled by it but the bottom line was that this ended up black-listed for its graphic content.

Rihanna – S&M

The Barbadian beauty caused quite the stir when she released this track which came with lots of whips and plenty of PVC. Saucy!

Prodigy – Smack My B*tch Up

It was originally not played because of its lyrics and then when the music video came out, it was not shown. Think the song title says it all really.

Lady Gaga – Alejandro

While it wasn’t completely cast aside this vid, which contains a lot of religious and sexual content, was reserved to be played after midnight by MTV.

Madonna – Justify My Love

From one superstar to the next, the Queen of Pop had this video banned because it was deemed too raunchy for television. When you watch it, you might understand why!
