Rihanna Leads the Way With Six MTV Europe Music Award Noms But Taylor Swift and Katy Perry Aren’t Far Behind

The singer is a music machine what with the amount of singles and albums she puts out every year, but it seems all the work has paid off as she is in line to pick up six awards at this year's EMAs.

The nominations for this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards are out and guess which umbrella-holding, love-finding singer is at the top of the pack. That’s right, we don’t even really need to tell you her name, it’s Rihanna!

The ‘S&M’ pop singer has received six nods at the awards including Best Female, Best Song and Best Video. Wonder if her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown will be on hand to give her a congratulatory peck again if she is successful?

But Rihanna’s not the only one rolling in nominations. Taylor Swift might have to leave her Kennedy beau’s side as she is up for five awards while chart-toppers Justin Bieber and Katy Perry have four each.

The Prince of Pop, Justin Bieber, could walk away with four awards.

Also in the running to pick up a few awards on the night are Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and Carly Rae Jepsen.

And it’s not just the Americans that are in with a chance. Boy band One Direction, will be hoping to add to their MTV award collection with two more nominations.

One Direction have one MTV award already and are in line for a few more.

The MTV Europe Music Awards are being held in Frankfurt in November this year. Tell us, who would you like to see making their acceptance speeches?
