Legendary singer Van Morrison has today announced he will perform a fully seated concert at 3Arena on Friday November 20th, as part of his 70th birthday celebrations.
The performance will mark his first date in the capital since his sold out Dublin show at The O2 three years ago.
Morrison is currently enjoying worldwide acclaim for his new album Duets: Re-Working The Catalogue.
Considered one of the most prolific recording artists and extraordinary live performers of our time, Van Morrison has received a multitude of awards and accolades including 6 Grammy Awards, a Brit Award, an OBE and an Ivor Novello.
He has been inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and possesses honorary doctorates from Queen’s University Belfast and the University of Ulster, as well as entry into the French Ordres Des Artes Et Des Lettres.
Morrison’s collaborations include works with John Lee Hooker, Ray Charles, Lonnie Donegan, Mose Allison and Tom Jones, among many others.
