We’re used to hearing them on the radio, but this time it’ll be a totally different airwave experience for the One Direction lads.
Irish popstar Niall Horan and his One D buddies will take over the airwaves on BBC Radio 1 next Saturday as the band become radio jocks for the day.
The One D crew will take turns to pair up with a different Radio 1 DJ for two-hour stints from 8am on October 6th.
The Mullingar star will get a rare lie-in that morning as he’s not set to hijack the airwaves until 2pm.
The One Direction radio takeover was announced on Nick Grimshaw’s breakfast show yesterday morning.
Niall tweeted; “If u didn’t tune in, we are co-hosting radio 1 over the day of the 6th of October! Gona be a great laugh! [sic]”.

Niall is planning to hook up with Welsh broadcaster Huw Stephens for his two-hour slot.
It’s the newly-single bandmate Liam Payne will kick off the takeover at 8am with Gemma Cairney. It might get his mind off things…
DJ Nick Grimshaw joked that his One Direction partner, Harry Styles, will be “making (his) tea and going out for (his) lunch!”
