She’s been headlining celebrity news in recent weeks for her admission to Oprah about still loving Chris Brown, her constant twitter photo uploads of her in less-then-skimpy outfits and for having an uncanny resemblance to the tattoo of a beaten-up woman on Chris Brown’s neck.
But now, strangely enough, Rihanna is in the news for her music, her actual career choice.
The 24-year-old singer’s record label Def Jam Recordings tweeted the news yesterday from their French account, but have since deleted their post which also hinted a new single is to be released as soon as next Monday.
Def Jam France has replaced it with another message which reads: “New announcement this Thursday about Rihanna on our account.”
We were only saying how we’re due another Rihanna anthem on our radios soon…
Rihanna’s last two albums have both had November release dates, so the news about her seventh studio album is in keeping with the singer’s speedy work ethic.

The singer has been back and forth to the UK this summer, most recently to sing at the London 2012 Paralympics Closing Ceremony where she joined Coldplay on stage to perform the epic Princess of China.
Last June, sources revealed that the Where Have You Been singer was making the most of her London visits to book studio time with some up-and-coming British music producers.
Looks like Calvin Harris gave Rihanna a good first impression. ..
One reported; “Rihanna is working with Marina and the Diamonds’ boyfriend Burns, a Brighton-based producer who is good mates with Calvin Harris.
“They’ve booked three days in the studio, which they’ll fit around him doing some work with Kelis. Rihanna’s also working with Nicky Romero, another DJ and pal of Calvin.”
Rihanna also recently announced her 2013 ‘Diamonds World Tour’, which kicks off in North America next March.
Forget ex-boyfriends and tell-all interviews, the Bajan beauty is back in the music game.
