Ladies, are you looking for a way to deepen your experience of Fifty Shades of Grey? No, we’re not talking about making your way to the nearest naughty adult shop and stocking up on some, ahem, toys.

We’re talking about the Fifty Shades of Grey album. Yes, now you can listen to some themed music that has been hand-picked by the author E.L. James to give you a more rounded experience of the filthy book.

MusicWeek.com reports that EMI Classics has announced that it will release an official Fifty Shades of Grey classical album next month.

So what exactly does a Fifty Shades of Grey album involve? Well the CD will have 15 tracks of classical music that has been specifically picked in order to enhance your reading of the book. Sounds interesting, right?

The album will be available in the US and online from August 21, and you can get your hands on a CD version from September 17.

“I am thrilled that the classical pieces that inspired me while I wrote the Fifty Shades Trilogy are being brought together in one collection for all lovers of the books to enjoy,” said E.L. James, speaking about the album.

The Fifty Shades trilogy has taken the world by storm.

According to reports, the constant references to classical music within the Fifty Shades books have actually caused sales of classical music to increase rapidly. An example of this? Well ‘Spem in Alium’ a 16th century motet for 40 voices by Thomas Tallis has rapidly climbed the UK’s Classical chart and made it to the number one spot in recent weeks.

“We are delighted to be partnering with E.L. James and Random House on this project,” said Wendy Ong, the Vice President of EMI Classics.

“The Fifty Shades books are a bona fide cultural phenomenon, and they offer an exciting new way to present this timeless music to audiences who might not otherwise be exposed to it,” she added.

What do you think ladies? Will you be snapping up the soundtrack to Fifty Shades of Grey?
