Mariah Carey has announced her first European tour in 13 years.
The tour will be called The Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour and will run from March 15th to May 2nd, 2016, visiting various different European cities, such as Paris, Vienna, Munich, Brussels and six UK dates in Glasgow, London, Cardiff, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester.
Unfortunately, Ireland didn’t make the cut for the tour.
The singer spoke on the Lorraine show on ITV earlier to share the news saying that she, “wanted to give people some nostalgia”. She also said that she’s going to research which songs were the biggest in each location and then adjust the set list to reflect that.
Just on the off chance that Mariah changes her mind and adds Ireland to the tour dates I’ve saved her some time and done the research for her. According to Irishcharts.ie, her duet with Westlife, ‘Against All Odds‘, was number 1 back in 2000, while her single ‘Without You‘ hit the number 1 spot in 1994.
Actually, seeing as we only gave her two number one singles, that could be the reason we’ve been overlooked.
Touché, Mariah.
