Ed Sheeran has previously shown he is adept at skipping between genres and now he can tick ‘dance’ off the list, following the release of his new collaboration with Rudimental.
Bloodstream is featured on Sheeran’s hit album X and was co-written by Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid and Gary Lightbody.
The Thinking Out Loud star previously revealed that the song is inspired by taking MDMA at a wedding and falling in love with a beanbag.
“I don’t know how much I can tell you about that. I’m not a massive drug-taker, but that song was written after an experience in Ibiza and it’s basically about all the feelings that I got from that time. It was weird, because I haven’t taken it since, it was literally just a one-time thing.
“It was a wedding, and I was having a mojito, and my mate was like, ‘Do you want to try it, it tastes really bad if you put it in your mouth but I’ll just put it in your drink and it’ll be fine’. It was MDMA and I fell in love with a beanbag. I literally got home and bought six beanbags! During it all, I felt a lot of things: I felt anxiety, I felt love, I felt warm, I felt a bit weird.”
