It has been over six months since we featured the incredible Mama Kin on the pages of Her.ie as a ‘Name To Remember’.
Part raconteur and all-out entertainer Mama Kin is an Australian songstress, a mother and a purveyor of foot-stomping bass lines and ballads of open-hearted tenderness.
One of the greatest characters we’ve ever had the pleasure of interviewing, Kin toured all over the country and thanks to the folk at Star House Collective we have some very special footage to share with you.
This stunning black and white short, filmed & directed by ambiguousfiddle.com, captures the essence of the singer-songwriter and includes exclusive live performances.
Kin joined her husband John Butler at his sold out Vicar Street show in Dublin to perform Jenny, a song from the pair’s side project ‘Brave and the Bird’. Kin also sings Cherokee Boy filmed on location at Lettercullum Studios in West Cork.
Mama Kin’s phenomenal album (we couldn’t sell it to you enough – it’s incredible), The Magician’s Daughter, can be purchased here on iTunes.
