Do you know the Irish band The Heathers? If the name is ringing a bell but you can’t quite place them, then just think of the Discover Ireland television ads. Yes! That’s their ridiculously contagious song ‘Remember When’ in the background.

The Irish Independent reports today that Louise and Ellie McNamara, the twin sisters who make up the band, have been asked to write a song for David Guetta’s new album. Yes, seriously.

It’s a far cry from the Discover Ireland ads, but we have no doubt that they’ll come up with something absolutely amazing!

“Our manager texted me, ‘Do you want to write a song for David Guetta.’ I thought he was joking. But it turns out that one of his A&R team had seen our video for our new single Forget me Knots and they really liked it, and asked if we would consider writing a song,” said Louise, speaking about the collaboration.

“Apparently his new album has a more indie feel,” she added.

David Guetta wants The Heathers to write a song for his new album.

David Guetta is known for his majorly successful collaborations and in the past he’s worked with the likes of Rihanna, Kelly Rowland and Sia.

So David Guetta’s amazing beats coupled with the awesome vocals/lyrics of The Heathers? Eh…we’re already predicting some major chart success.
