#SaveNelly
Remember club hit Hot in Herre by Nelly?
Well now if you listen to it, you’ll be doing him a massive favour.
According to TMZ, Nelly has been struggling financially since 2013 and now owes over $2 million in tax. The debt is so big that Internal Revenue Service could seize his house and belongings.
One organisation reported that his music would have to be streamed 287, 176, 547 times to repay it.
The rapper’s biggest fans have taken it upon themselves to save him from his debt.
The Twitter hashtag #SaveNelly is encouraging fans to stream his music as much as possible to get him out of his spot of bother.
His songs have now been played so many times that both Hot in Herre and Country Grammar have re-entered the top 40 on iTunes.
