It has been five years since Laura Izibor released her phenomenally successful debut album, Let the Truth Be Told, but she’s back and by the sounds of it, she is better than before.
The 27-year-old has given fans a taster of brand new music with beautiful track TV & Magazines.
The Dubliner uploaded the song to SoundCloud and offered it as a free download, telling fans: “It’s a hard judging world out there especially for us women… and I guess I just felt inspired to write about it”.
Izibor taught herself the piano at 14 and kicked off her career in 2002 after winning 2FM song competition with her own composition Compatible.
The songstress picked up a Meteor Music Award in 2006 before the release of her album in 2009.
Following the success of the album, Izibor’s music was picked by hit television shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, Bones, One Tree Hill, American Idol, The Hills, The Practice in addition there was several blockbuster movies including No.1 USA box office hit Why Did I Get Married?, Will Smiths’ Seven Pounds, PS I Love You, Nanny Diaries and Step Up 2.
