Final Additions Unveiled for This Year’s Electric Picnic Festival. Are You Going?

The final acts have just been announced for this year's Electric Picnic, and we have to say, they're pretty deadly. See you in the mosh pit ladies!

There’s nothing better than Electric Picnic and if you’re lucky enough to be heading to this year’s festival, we have some exciting news for you. The final few additions to the line-up have just been announced. Oh yes.

The Irish Sun reports that some great new acts will now grace the stages of this year’s Picnic including the ever-awesome Ryan Sheridan and Jerry Fish.

The Kanyu Tree, The Riptide Movement and the Delorentos have also been given stage times at the three-day festival which will be taking place, as always, in Stradbally, county Laois.

But wait, there’s more!

Cathy Davey, Ham Sandwich and Cashier No. 9 will also be performing during the Picnic and Richie Hawtin, the techno legend, is planning on doing his thing as well. Great stuff.

Can we just say that the above acts will be joining the likes of The Cure, The Killers and Elbow at the festival which begins on August 31st and runs until September 2nd.

If all the above sounds like music to your ears (hah!) and you feel an intense need to live in a tent for a weekend, then fear not. Tickets for this year’s Picnic are still available – epic news. You can get your tickets on ticketmaster.ie or head over to electricpicnic.ie if you need some more information about the event itself.

The good news is that it’s full steam ahead for Electric Picnic this year (which is great given the amount of festivals/concerts that had to be cancelled earlier this year due to poor ticket sales). Yesterday, the Picnic was officially granted it’s festival licence by Laois County Council.

According to reports, 32,500 people are expected to attend the event. Now…where did we put our wellies? Are we likely to see you in the muck at the end of the month?
