Oxygen may off the agenda for this year but there is still plenty of festival fun to look forward to in 2014, with Indiependence and Forbidden Fruit confirming some great new additions to their line-up today.
Indiependence, which will take place near Mitchelstown in Co. Cork, have added Hozier, Dan Croll, The Minutes, Hudson Taylor, Vann Music, TVVINS, The Altered Hours, The Vincents, Elastic Sleep and Slow Motion Heroes to their #Indie14 programme. The festival runs from August 1st to 3rd and has already confirmed appearances from Public Enemy, White Lies, Tom Odell, Fun Lovin Criminals, Delorentos, Damien Dempsey and David Holmes, to name just a few. Tickets, priced at €99, are on sale now.
Meanwhile, Forbidden Fruit has announced that Wild Beasts, Thundercat, Captain Murphy, Kid Karate, The Range and To Kill A King will join The Flaming Lips, Bell X1, 2ManyDJs and Warpaint at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham this summer. The Pod event will take place on Saturday 31 May and Sunday 1 June, with day tickets priced at €59.50 and a weekend pass at €110.
