One of our highlights of last year’s Hard Working Class Heroes festival, Spies have announced a headline gig at Whelan’s this April.
The Dublin indie-rockers had a very busy 2014, including an appearance at Other Voices in Derry, and have been busy recording new EP Sea Creature.
The four-track will be released on March 30th and will also be available on limited edition 12″ vinyl.
Lead single Sea Creature opens the EP with Spies’ signature dynamic and see Michael Broderick’s vocals soar as the song meanders, heightening its way into its Echo and the Bunnymen-esque crescendo.
The band play the Wexford Street venue on April 8th and tickets, priced at €13, go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday) at 9am.
