We love a bit of Drake in the Her.ie offices, so obviously we were super-excited to hear his new single, which was officially released today.
What’s so great about his latest track? Well, aside from being ridiculously catchy, it features the vocals of none other than Aaliyah, the late RnB singer who was tragically killed in an airplane crash back in 2001.
The Irish Independent reports that Drake had previously hinted that he was planning a posthumous collaboration with Aaliyah, who passed away when she was just 22 years old, and today he unveiled the song, ‘Enough Said’ on his website.
The track features some unreleased vocals from Aaliyah and is being billed as ‘Enough Said’ by Aaliyah featuring Drake.
We wonder how Timbaland will feel about this release? Timbaland produced most of Aaliyah’s hit songs and was very close to the singer before she died. According to reports, both Timbaland and Missy Elliot (who also collaborated with Aaliyah) stated that they should both be involved if any new material featuring the singer’s vocals was made.

Aaliyah was tragically killed in a plane crash in 2001.
Drake has previously spoken about how much he admired Aaliyah when she was alive and even has the singer’s face tattooed on his back. The rapper also recently unveiled another tattoo which pays homage to Aaliyah.
The number 416 are inked on his torso, which according to fans, is an area code in Drake’s home city of Toronto. However, the 4 in the tattoo is only partially coloured in so the number also looks like 116 – and Aaliyah’s birthday was January 16, or 1/16.
